Detroit 12.7 Litre Series 60 Engine
One of the most popular on highway Detroit Diesel engines ever built was their 12.7-litre Series 60, later engines were electronically controlled by the propriety Detroit Diesel Electronic Control (DDEC) system. Gastech have been able to convert these engines to run on their CNG or LNG gas conversion systems.
Our customers can choose from the spark ignition (100% gas) or our diesel ignition (dual fuel) technologies. We have been able to achieve between 80% to 95% gas substitution rates on our diesel ignition technology. This technology allows the user to switch back to 100% diesel operation without the loss of power or torque.
